Vision & Mission
Everything we do begins with one belief: the Aramean people deserve and have the right to exist. They deserve a future in their homeland and the global diaspora. A future where our identity is recognized, our language is spoken, and our voice is heard in the halls of power — from the United Nations to the European Union and beyond.
Our Vision
A world where the Aramean people are internationally recognized, their ancient Aramaic language is preserved and thriving, and their rights are protected — in the homeland and across the diaspora. This is not an ambition. It is a prerequisite for our survival.
Our Mission
WCA exists to ensure the future existence of the Aramean people and their Aramaic language. As the only Aramean NGO at the United Nations, we carry a unique responsibility: to be the voice of a people that no government represents, no border protects, and no institution defends — unless we do it ourselves.

Our Objectives
To promote and protect the human rights, dignity, freedom, equality, well-being, and interests of the Aramean people;
To build and strengthen infrastructure in the homeland and across the diaspora to preserve and promote Aramean cultural heritage;
To strengthen a shared identity and foster social, cultural, and economic cohesion among Arameans worldwide;
To promote the recognition of the Arameans as a people and to strengthen their unity and representation at the international level, in accordance with international law;
To uphold and promote the principles and frameworks of the United Nations, the European Union, and the Council of Europe.

Our Focus Areas
We fulfill our mission through five areas of focus that together form the backbone of everything we do.
Identity: WCA preserves and reinforces Aramean self-awareness through social, cultural and educational activities, events and projects. We inform the world about our rich cultural heritage and our endangered Aramaic language, the language of Jesus Christ.
Advocacy, Diplomacy & Networking: WCA engages with policy and decision makers at parliaments, governments, the EU, UN, and fellow NGOs to highlight and seek support for the national questions of the Aramean people. Our advocacy involves meeting, speaking and writing with leaders and institutions worldwide.
Public Relations: WCA promotes its ideas, activities and achievements through press releases, letters, reports and social media channels to increase awareness about the Aramean people. We aim to influence the views and actions of the media, power holders and fellow Arameans.
Youth Academy: WCA develops self-aware and effective Aramean youth leaders through training, study sessions and seminars. We work to inspire, guide and empower the next generation to take ownership of their heritage and engage in local, national and international Aramean affairs.
Humanitarian & Development Aid: WCA directly helps Arameans in need with humanitarian and development aid — from solar energy panels and agricultural projects in Syria to scholarships and entrepreneurial initiatives across the TourAbdin region in southeast Turkey. Our goal: to strengthen and secure the Aramean presence in the homeland.
